Q- How long have you been wrestling?
A- I have been wrestling since I was 6, so this is my 13th year of wrestling.
Q- What’s your favorite part about wrestling?
A- My favorite part of wrestling is how physical the sport is.
Q- What’s been your biggest accomplishment so far?
A- My biggest accomplishment was winning Super32. It is a very prestigious tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina. At the time I was unranked and beat three ranked wrestlers, including the number three ranked wrestler in the country.
Q- Where do you find your inspiration?
A- I find my inspiration from my family and coaches. They have taught me since I was a young age to work hard and do the right things.
Q- Do you have any specific routine/ritual before a meeting?
A- My routine before a tournament or dual is to warm up with a teammate. Before each match, I listen to music and get focused.
Q- Pregame meal?
A- My pregame meal is a sandwich or bagel with peanut butter and honey.
Q- Any inspirational quotes?
A- “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
Q- Future outlook for wrestling?
A- I am signed to wrestle at the University of Nebraska and will wrestle there for the next five years. My goals are to win an individual NCAA title and a NCAA team title.
Q- Any advice?
A- Way worse things can happen than losing a wrestling match, so don’t be too upset.
