Senior Kiernan Jorgenson
Q-How long have you played baseball?
A-I’ve played baseball for about 14 years
Q-What’s your favorite part about baseball?
A-my favorite part about baseball is the people I get to be around I’ve played with a bunch of different guys every year
Q-What’s your biggest accomplishment in baseball?
A-My biggest accomplishment is hopefully soon to come with a state tournament appearance.
Q-Do you play any other sports?
A-I played soccer as well.
Q-Where do you draw your inspiration to play?
A-I draw inspiration from my mom who’s always keeping me focused on the positive outcomes of every game.
Q-Do you have any specific routine/ritual before playing or before practice?
A-I don’t have a specific ritual I just do normal warm ups with the rest of the team.
Q-Pregame meal?
A-I usually don’t eat before games I like to snack throughout them.
Q-Future outlook for baseball?
A-I would love to play college ball. We’ll have to see how this year pans out.
Q-Any advice?
A-My advice for anyone else playing ball would be to enjoy it and not be so tough on yourself. Baseball is mentally tough so it’s better to just have fun.
Senior Brielle Wrangham
Q-How long have you played softball?
A-I’ve played softball ever since I could pick up a bat. I started with T-ball at 4.
Q-What’s your favorite part about softball?
A-My favorite part about softball is being able to celebrate big wins with my team. I love the adrenaline rush when we get to celebrate.
Q-What’s your biggest accomplishment in softball?
A-Winning high school state in 2022 and being all WDA in 2023.
Q-Do you play any other sports?
A-I also throw shot put in track.
Q-Where do you draw your inspiration to play?
A-I get all my inspiration from my parents and grandparents. Seeing my grandparents in the stands getting excited to watch me play makes me want to continue playing. My parents have always pushed me to get better and play better.
Q-Do you have any specific routine/ritual before playing or before practice?
A-I do my hair the same every game with a pink bow on the end. I wear the bow for my grandparents. It started by me wearing it so my grandparents could tell which player I was when they’d watch on a live stream. Ever since then I wear it for them and to remind myself who I am playing for.
Q-Pregame meal?
I don’t like to eat anything before games.
Q-Future outlook for softball?
I am going to continue playing softball at Bismarck State College. I hope to coach softball after college.
Q-Any advice?
A-Put in the extra work and it will all pay off in the end
