Halloween is a holiday beloved by Americans for its parties, costumes, and the candy that is had throughout the night. But, it often falls in the middle of the week, leaving many people unable to fully enjoy the holiday. October 31st ends up being more of a burden than anything.
This year, Halloween is on a Thursday, which means some schools could make an exception and cancel school that following Friday. This would allow everyone to fully enjoy their Halloween night. Students of all ages could go trick-or-treating, or have a Halloween party late into the night, teachers would get a nice day off, especially if they have kids they take out for trick-or-treating, and everyone would have a nice day off with no responsibilities to worry about when they wake up.
Even without a day off from school, many students still choose to not show up for school the next day. Since the day after Halloween is a Friday, the number of students not attending school the day after is likely to go up. To prevent this, the day after Halloween should be a day off of school. Everyone would be satisfied, and students would feel more refreshed when they go back to school.

School allows for certain holidays to be used as a day to celebrate. The day after Halloween should be included in this list.
