PLOT
The plot of Mufasa’s early life was creative and well-structured. The development of Mufasa growing up and going through his life journey kept us entertained and sitting on the edge of our seats. This movie is perfect for anyone who liked The Lion King’s live-action movie but wanted more. This prequel gives prior knowledge the viewers didn’t know they needed to spice up the original movie. The flow of this adventurous movie makes it an easy watch with humorous cut scenes of Pumbaa and Timon sometimes giving us teasers as to what happens next. Disney displayed the suspenseful journey of Mufasa’s early life flawlessly. The great plot also came with great character developments of villains and heroes.
MUSIC
This movie is considered a musical so with a great plot came many great songs. Most of the songs told a story about the characters with great flow and rhythms. The emotions of the songs flow right through the screen as you watch, songs like “Tell me it’s You” or “I’ve Always Wanted a Brother” leave lyrics stuck in people’s heads and a new cheerful spirit as the audience continues to watch.
ANIMATION
The animation features of this movie display the dedication and hard work that come from Disney. With a photorealistic animation, every detail was included from a piece grass in the prairie to a hair on the lion’s coat. It’s hard to believe they didn’t use real lions and warthogs, especially because Pumbaa was very ugly, but followed the development of this stinky and funny warthog.
