From now until May 23rd, we have only a handful of days left of school. This is the time to start waking up and focusing on finishing the school year strong. The last quarter of school feels like the longest or shortest quarter of the entire year, so you might as well make it the best. If you are a person who feels that it takes the longest, good, don’t get bored, use this time to get your semester grade to the highest you can. If you’re a person who feels that it’s the shortest, great, rock out your last tests with your best effort. Let the end of the school year drive you to do your best – don’t let it cause you to be lazy.
Push through the next few weeks with focus and strength and it will go by faster. Finish the year strong so you don’t have to make up for work you didn’t do correctly the first time. Doing your work properly and turning it in on time will help you escape the list of finals. Finals are always at the end of the year, so make sure you keep your book bills paid for, missing assignments turned in and grades up. Why take finals when you can get two extra days of summer?
The end of the school year seems like an impossible challenge, but with the help of perseverance and the thought of summer, it is possible. Set goals for the rest of the year to keep yourself on track. Create a to-do list to organize your events and tasks. Stay motivated by rewarding yourself. Avoid procrastination and break down harder objectives to make them easier. Also, do not forget to prioritize your health by getting sleep, exercising and eating proper nutrition. If you are someone with big exams at the end of the year, study hard and focus on trying your very best, It will surely pay off in the end.
Finishing the year strong, or “locking in,” is beneficial because it allows for reflection, and sets a positive foundation for the future. Ultimately, this causes greater self-confidence and momentum for the next school year and summer. Don’t give up now, you are too close to the end to start losing sight of the things you could accomplish.
