Tenet

Tenet, a recently released film by Christopher Nolan, gives viewers a complex yet clever plot to figure out as the movie progresses. One of the movie’s key concepts is being able to move objects back in time. This concept is thrust onto the viewers at the beginning of Tenet. At first, it may seem complicated and puzzling, with viewers typically having a lot of questions being asked about how and why time travel works. However, as more information is revealed about the protagonist and the environment around him, the more clear the movie becomes. It is one of those films where when a person rewatches it, they observe many things they missed the first time viewing.
At the end however there still feels like some lack of context with each character’s background. While each character was appealing in their own right, there were some people that seemed to have their past left unexplained, or at the least barely touched. A good background would’ve made people watching the movie connect with the characters more and make them more likeable.
The area that stood out the most was the writing. It was creative and the dialogue felt engaging. In Hollywood, the action genre is pretty overflooded with movies. However the producers of Tenet worked within that cliche and made an original piece.
