According to New England Trading Company, the most common front doors are black, navy blue or wood.
By having a black front door, it can symbolize power, opportunity and sophistication. In the ancient Chinese practice of feng shui, the color black represents water, stillness, peace and wealth.
Having a navy blue front door can draw out feelings of tranquility, trustworthiness and new beginnings. People who have blue front doors are most viewed as relaxed, positive, hopeful and reliable people.
Brown front doors are quite inviting because they are most likely very down-to-earth and reliable people. People with a brown front door are more than likely to be neat and tidy and have a strong work ethic. A light brown door can exude warmth while dark brown exudes strength.
Some funky colors to use are purple, pink, orange, red, green or yellow.
Purple shows a calm, creative person with a strong imagination and an eye for the beautiful things in life. Always excited and empowered, people with a purple door are carefree spirits.
Pink doors are a way to show how positive the owners of the house are.
Orange doors emit a warm and friendly welcome. Having an orange door, it can show that the house owners are playful, energetic, and not afraid to take risks. Outgoing and social, this door is just waiting to open to more friendly faces.
Yellow is always linked to the sun and that is true. Having a yellow front door, it shows how positive and curious the person is. It shows an open, cheerful and relaxed atmosphere.
