Pockets for phones. Kids are required to put their phones in these pockets during class. Teachers have different opinions on whether it is effective or not. “Only if all the teachers are actually following it and I’m not sure that is happening,” BHS math teacher Shelly Wiedrich said.

No parking sign. BHS had put these signs up along 8th and 9th street to let people get through easier. Buses were complaining that they could not fit through the street in order to get into the North Parking Lot. “Last year we got a blizzard in April, and the snow melted pretty quickly afterwards.” BHS principal David Wisthoff said. “When you get a snowstorm in the first week of November it makes for a long year.”

Attendance Office Room Number. The attendance office is where parents or guardians call in to let the school know their kid is excused from school. Mrs. Johnson is one of the assistant principals whose office is in there. “You don’t have that face to face with the teacher and you don’t have the chance to ask follow up questions if you don’t come to class,” BHS Assistant Principal Lynette Johnson said.

Marching Band Banner. The Screaming Demons march in different events with this banner. The banner has been used in the Santa Parade every year since it started. “This has been a tradition for many years and people love coming and listening,” BHS sophomore Zeva Burkhardsmeier said.
