National title. The Capital Ice Chips have medaled at the last eight national competitions. This year, they scored high above all other teams and took first place. “It was really great to finally get that championship and be up there amongst all of these really huge large programs in the United States,” Capital Ice Chip coach Becky Gallion said.

This is the room that formed the BHS wrestlers into what they are today. “We make day to day, week to week improvements, so we continue to see improvement out of our guys,” BHS Dean of Students and head coach Mark Lardy said.

Bismarck High Schools freshman/sophomore girls basketball team. This years 2022-23 season provides a team that plays both freshmen and sophomore teams depending on what teams from other competing schools have to offer. Many sophomores were moved up to JV or varsity, therefore, making their sophomore team consist of many more freshmen than sophomores. “Last year we didnt have an absolute true freshman team, and its been like that the last few years,” head basketball coach Bill Schettler says.
